DURATION

Approximately three to four weeks following the receipt of the necessary portfolio.  A professional discussion, an exhibit of pertinent abilities, expertise, and experience, and a third-party verification of the proof will all take place during this time.

WHO ARE ELIGIBLE?

You will receive official level 4 qualifications in the care of the elderly and disabled with this certificate. Eligible candidates include those with a degree, training, compassion, and a desire to work in the aging and disability care sectors. In order to satisfy the demands of our aging population, individual support workers are becoming increasingly important. According to the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work in order to be qualified.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This certification has no specific admission requirements. Candidates for the qualification must, however, be at least eighteen years old, possess at least twelve years of formal education, or the equivalent, and speak English fluently.

PACKAGING RULES

The students enrolled in CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, units of competency as listed below:

• Total number of units = 18
• 15 core units
• 3 elective units, consisting of: at least 2 units from the electives listed below up to 1 unit from the electives listed below, any endorsed Training Package or accredited course – these units must be relevant to the work outcome.
• All electives chosen must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
