DURATION
Approximately three to four weeks following the receipt of the necessary portfolio. A professional discussion, an exhibit of pertinent abilities, expertise, and experience, and a third-party verification of the proof will all take place during this time.
WHO ARE ELIGIBLE?
You will receive official level 3 qualifications in the care of the elderly and disabled with this certificate. Eligible candidates include those with a degree, training, compassion, and a desire to work in the aging and disability care sectors. In order to satisfy the demands of our aging population, individual support workers are becoming increasingly important. According to the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work in order to be qualified.

PROCESSING STEPS
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This certification has no specific admission requirements. Candidates for the qualification must, however, be at least eighteen years old, possess at least twelve years of formal education, or the equivalent, and speak English fluently.
PACKAGING RULES
The students enrolled in CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support units of competency as listed below:
- Total number of units = 13
- 7 core units
- 6 elective units, consisting of: at least 4 units from the electives listed below, at least 2 units must be from those units listed under Groups A, B or C up to 2 units from the electives listed below, any endorsed Training Package or accredited course – these units must be relevant to the work outcome
Any elective combination that satisfies the criteria mentioned above may be chosen to earn the Certificate III in Individual Support. Electives may be combined with a specialization when it makes recognize to do so.
Packaging for each specialization: For the Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging) to be awarded, all electives from Group A must be chosen, and Group D must be chosen for the remaining electives.
To be eligible for the Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), candidates must choose all Group B electives.
For the Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) to be awarded, at least four units from Group C electives must be chosen.
Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home and Community) would be the qualification awarded when two specializations are completed.
All electives chosen must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
